Two Full Days and Counting...

I haven't blogged for a long time, but that's ok. Now you have lots of pictures to look at!

I took Lucy to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden with Mom's preschool. I had fun, and she had a lot of fun at the playground. She is so cute.
Lucy eating a sandwich. Look at those blue eyes.
Lucy trying to escape from the Dinosaur Park. Sorry hon, the gate is chained shut.

She actually smiled by this dinosaur! Usually she looked horrified. But, unlike my Aunt Jean said she would, Lucy wasn't traumatized by the dinosaurs. Sometimes when they roared, she would want me to hold her, but she wasn't too upset.

The best part of the Dinosaur Park for Lucy was the playground. She was giggling the whole time, and I really had a lot of fun pushing her on the swings, catching her at the bottom of the slides, and following her as she ran around in the sand.

When I was a child, my dad liked to dress me up in fabric scraps (please see the pictures in our family scrapbooks). Well, nothing has changed. Using leftover fabric from the bridesmaid dresses, we dressed me up like a 1920s rich lady (I decided that's what I was). Dad made this kickbutt awesome hat with pipe cleaners, and I love it. He just loves to dress up his little baby.
Here we have a detail of my farmer's tan. I have a habit of falling asleep in the sun, and I never roll up my sleeves. I woke up, went to the bathroom, noticed in the mirror that my arms looked a little red, pulled up my sleeves, screamed, ran down to my room and put on my swimsuit, and laid on our new deck in hopes that the farmer's tan would quickly go away before my wedding. I'm happy to say that it is pretty much gone. :D
Yet another wedding, this one for Andrew's cousin Brandon, and here he is with his wife Megan. It was cool, cuz I got to go to the sealing, and President Uchtdorf was the sealer! That's cuz Andrew's Opa baptized President U and they are still friends. He would seal us, but will be out of the country. That's ok, and I don't really mind.
Andrew and I put the party favors out before the luncheon. He looks stunned, probably by my beauty. The favors were Swedish Fish and Gummy Worms, because there was a fish theme for the lunch, but I don't think they served any fish for the meal, except in the favors.

We were tired. So we scandalously snuggled and *gasp* slept together, as you can see above.
These are my siblings-in-law, Hannah, Wesley, and Elise at the reception. I met Welsey the day before this picture was taken. He just got home from his mission in Sacramento, Cambodian speaking. He is the reason that me and Andrew had to wait till the end of May to get married. So, to punish him, I rushed him at the airport and gave him the first hug and it was huge. I think he has been traumatized for life. He deserved it.
This is Andrew and my competition. She is four and his cousin-ish. So I think that Andrew shouldn't go for Molly. But they sure do love each other.
Bachelorette party!! Rachelle, Leslie, Kathry, me, and Alison at the Gateway, getting me some "essentials". This bachelorette party was less risque than the one Al and I did for Rachelle in Denver. Rachelle is married, so she broke the requirements to go to the bachelorette party, but we shall forgive her. Mom said we couldn't be too scandalous cuz Leslie came and she is still a little girl.
Here I am, in front of Victoria's Secret Beauty section. We actually didn't buy anything from this part of Victoria's Secret, if you know what I mean... ;)
And now I have to tell you about the MIRACLE of the day! I couldn't find this textbook, which I need for my online summer class. It cost me $80, so I really don't want to buy a new one. I tore my already really messy room apart, but couldn't find it anywhere. I prayed that I would find it, but still had no success. So I went to bed. And then I woke up. Still, no textbook. I was on the phone with my mother-in-law, and picked up a shirt that I need to iron, and there it was! I found it! Yay for miracles! I was pretty darn grateful to have found it.

SO... Today is Tuesday. THE DAY is on Friday. YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!! This means that in three (3) days I will be a married woman! And this also means that I only have two (2) full days left of my existance as a single woman! WOOT! As fun as being single is, I'm more excited to not be. This wedding thing has been a long time in coming - five (5) months. So I'm pretty ready for it to be here. I'm also a little nervous, cuz getting married is a big thing and I have never done anything this big before ever in my life. :D But I'm still way excited! Andrew is nervous, too. We can be nervous together! That's why you get married, so you can go through scary things like getting married together. I'm so in love.

A Day at Temple Square

I had the opportunity to spend about an hour wandering around on Temple Square on May 9. It was fun to take pictures and feel peace while Andrew was at T-roy and Michaelene's wedding.

I thought that one tulip was kind of sad. I think a bride stepped on it. The place was crawling with brides! I am hardly exaggerating when I say that there were at least 15 brides that I saw. It was insane.

Now I'm not much of a photographer, and I didn't even know that my camera had this feature! I adjusted the focus in the next two pictures, and I really like them.

This kid was way funny. He was splashing in the reflecting pool and got all wet. Then his mom pulled out a fresh set of clothes and changed him into them. Once he was dressed, he ran right back to the pool and started to splash again!

I didn't know that the spires had such cool things on top.

Me and Andrew not being particularly reverent. :)

The freshly married newlyweds - T-roy and Michaelene. I'm jealous. But soon it will be my turn. Yay! Woot!

I love him. This is a funny picture cuz for once he made a nice face and I made a crazy face.
I'm really glad that I got to spend that time on Temple Square. It was very peaceful for me at a sad time. My cousin Scott's wife, Lariann, passed away that day after 2 1/2 years of fighting a brain tumor. I was really grateful for the knowledge and reassurance of that knowledge that I had that day that eternal families are real and possible.

Three Weeks!

Today is Friday, May 8. In three weeks it will be May 29, 2009!!!! Hallelujah! Finally! The thing I have been waiting for since January 4, 2009 will finally be here! My wedding!

I have been living in K-town this week, and will be living here until said exciting day, and I have been sort of busy with Dad to get our yard all ready for the reception. Yesterday, we built a deck.
And I know how to use a drill. I drilled a lot. You may not believe me cuz there are no pictures, but how can I take a picture when I am drilling? Seriously, I am way cooler than Rosie the Riveter. I can drill screws in and take them out. It is easier to take them out.

I think I need a drill for a wedding present.

And also a whoopie cushion. There is nothing that will alleviate boredom like a whoopie cushion. Not saying that being married will be boring, but artificial flatulant should spice up the romance.

This is the finished product! Yay beautiful deck! We just have to put a finish on it and it will be good.

Matt is a way hard worker. Not on the deck, but on his tan. He says he needs to get his chest dark for the wedding. Like anyone will see it under his tux.

Except, we have joked about having a nudist reception... But we won't, don't worry. This whole joke started cuz Heidi's dress came and it was all wrong, so she as of this moment doesn't have a dress for the reception. And my dad is getting thin so his tux just might fall off. Mom hasn't had much time to work on the sister's skirts, so maybe they won't have anything to wear. Awkward. No nudity at the reception. DO YOU HEAR ME SCOTT? NONE!

And the flowers in my yard are just beautiful.

Pretty tulips and a nice ground cover. All the tulips will have died by the time the wedding rolls around, but by then, we'll have other blossoms and lots and lots of greenery.

Bleeding hearts... How romantical. PS, have I ever mentioned on this blog that I love Andrew?

This is THE coolest tulip I have ever seen. I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but it is a mutant tulip. It has one little leafy thing, and then one stem that splits off into like five blossoms. It is an amazing Siamese tulip. My parents are going to see if the bulb does it again next spring, and then they are going to split the bulb. Then we can have millions of mutated tulips all over!

The fish are excited for the wedding, too. They aren't for eating. There will be no fishing at the reception! There will be no nudity at the reception! And there will be no fishing in the nude at the reception!
