April Draws to a Close...

Well, I had two projects due today. I turned them in. I think I did well, but I'll just have to wait and see. The only other thing I have to do on this lovely Finals Week is write a paper and turn it in by 11 a.m. on Thursday. Rough.

You can dance.
You can jive.
Having the time of your life...
See that girl, watch that scene,
Diggin' the dancin' queen.

I'm listening to ABBA. I love ABBA. I wish I had more to do. I could read the books I have on my shelf. The only problem is that I want to recline on the grass in the sunshine, and that is a problem cuz it is a little bit chilly outside.

Another problem is that I want to play with Andrew. He has a final everyday for the rest of the week, so he has to study. And I have nothing to do. I almost wish I had something to do.

I guess I could start to pack, but that is just a sad thing to do. I'm going to move half of my stuff into Andrew's and my apartment on May 1, where he will be living alone until I get to move in with him after May 29. Today is April 27. Will it ever come? Sometimes it feels like it won't ever come. But I know it will. Anyway, I don't like to pack too far in advance, cuz if I start packing, I'll need something that I haven't used all year that I just put in the bottom of the box. It is a dilemma.

Well, I had a fun-tacular Saturday. I got my bridals done, and it was such a blast! My photographer is Dirk (www.widdisonphotography.com) and he is hilarious and I love his work. Dad and Alison came. My dress is so so so so so pretty! I think we got some cool pictures. Me in front of a bright blue wall. Me in front of a bright green door on a bright orange wall. Me on a ledge of an old abandoned building. Me in a sweet action stairwell. It was just cool, and I am really excited to see them. It was fun to look so beautiful and to get babe pictures. :D

Then, I had a bridal shower with all of my roommies, past and present. That was fun. I didn't get as much lingerie as I was expecting, so that was good but still awkward. I also got tons of dish towels, which I guess you need a lot cuz you clean lots or something when you are married. And I got a waffle maker, hot chocolate mugs, and 3 sets of measuring spoons. And also some good smelling lotion.

Saturday evening, Andrew and I drove to the Maddox in Brigham City for The Dad's birthday dinner. I sang Happy Birthday to him very loud in the restaurant and he was embarrassed. We got him Bill Cosby, Himself and Aggie ice-cream for his birthday. I love those guys.

Anyhow... This blog is kind of naked and boring. Sorry, no pictures. Have a lovely week. THE DAY IS ALMOST A MONTH AWAY!!!

En-gag-ments Are Up!

Please observe the above slideshow featuring our favorite en-gag-ment pictures. We are so cute. I'm so excited to marry Andrew! I love him so much! I can hardly believe that I am getting married in 6 weeks from tomorrow! It is just kind of surreal. I am really looking forward to getting to know him better and having the opportunity to serve him more and to just become better friends. I actually think our engagement has made us be worse friends, cuz we are so focused on the wedding. So I can't wait for the wedding to be over. :)

Yay April

So, Christina told me to update my blog. This is hilarious cuz usually I tell her on Facebook to update her blog. In all honesty, I haven't had time. But my huge MGRP has now been turned in, so I can do a quick blog. :D

My birthday is on April Fool's Day, no joke, and yes, it does make my personality make a lot of sense. Andrew gave me a princess crown. Cuz I'm his princess. I love it. It is so sparkly, but not as sparkly as The Sparkly (my ring). I want to wear it everyday. I wore it on my birthday and it was wonderful to be a princess all day. Sorry the picture is sideways. ;)
I love my handsome prince!Me and Tasha have been working on a quilt for our friend T-Roy. Here is me doing a sexy pose on it. :)
And I was named the History Department's Student of the Year. My whole family and Andrew came to the awards ceremony, even though it wasn't too exciting to wait around for me to get a certificate.
Isn't he so handsome? I got him that vest and shirt for Christmas. I think he's hot.

So stay tuned for some engagment pictures!

Wordle For Andrew

Wordle: Andrew

This is a sweet thing I discovered at www.wordle.net! It is about the things I love about Andrew, of course, this list isn't comprehensive. It seems to be a link, even though I wanted it to be a picture. I don't understand.

Any Dream Will Do

Or not do! I had a terrible dream last night. Actually, it wasn't that bad. Well, parts were. I decided to be more positive about planning a wedding. The irony is that the day after this happened, my dad started demanding things of me for the wedding, so I got stressed and am trying to not get upset. Anywho... MY DREAM!! My wedding was planned, and it was going to be perfect. Except it rained so we had the reception in the late Grandparents Bredthauer's basement - and it is teeny! And I stepped on my wedding dress so there was a gaping hole in the front. And I broke plates and cups cuz I'm a klutz, and the cake was lopsided, and... This is the third in the wedding fiasco dream sequence. Luckily, they haven't all been right in a row.

Another odd recurring motif in my dreams of late are penguins. I have no idea why I've been dreaming about penguins, but every night, there is at least one penguin in my dream, sometimes a whole flock of them! Perhaps I'm turning into Mr. Popper and soon will have penguins in my bathtub. That actually wold be really cool (penguins, cool - get it?). If I had a pet penguin, I would definitely bring it to school with me. It would have a cute little leash and waddle behind me, and it would swim laps with me and go running with me. It would also bite people that annoyed me. :D A penguin would definitely be a very cool thing. I don't mean to say anything against Grendel the Gecko or Mark Twain and Squishy the Goldfish, I just can't take them around on a leash with me. Back to the penguins dreams. I looked up a dream interpretation online and searched penguins.

"To see a penguin in your dream, signifies that your problems are not as serious as you may think. It serves as a reminder for you to keep you cool and remain level-headed. Alternatively, a penguin seen in your dream suggests that you are being weighed down by your emotions or by a negative situation. You need to find some balance and inner harmony."

So says the dream interpreter. Perhaps the penguin dreams make sense. All my worries and frustrations with the wedding are not as big as I'm making them into. The part that says that I need to find some inner balance and inner harmony sounds like a good yoga session is in order. Maybe my pet penguins will want to do some yoga with me, too. :D I mean, look at these fellows...they are so stinking cute!Check out those bad boys. They will be my no-nonsense-attack penguins! And how cute! Some people dress up their dogs, but why not give your penguins a sweater!

Exhausted, Yet Feeling Incredibly Athletic

Here I am, heading out for a nice Springtime adventure! Me, my bike, my backpack full of important things, my i-pod, and of course, my helmet. Safety first! The purpose of this adventure was to decide if I want to train for the triathalon coming up.

Today I ran a 5K on campus. Yay running! But I am so confused. Last time in the cemetery when we ran, we only did the perimeter. This run, we ran up and down the rows a few times. So that means that either the last 5K I ran or this one is not truly a 5K. That is why I'm going to blame my 4 minute increase from last time! Gross. I need to run faster. 29:52 is still pretty good, and I haven't run very consistently cuz winter is finally ending. But in the raffle, I won a waterbottle and a t-shirt from last year's triathalon. Now I can trick everyone into thinking that I really have done one. ;)
And then I swam a half mile. I love it. Swimming is so stinking fun. I usually try to swim for an hour, but I only did a half hour today. My goal in the next few weeks is to swim a whole mile! Check out my goggle lines. Ignore my nasty zits. And look at my arms--I am starting to get swimmer muscles! Someday, maybe I will look like that Olympic lady who was old...was her name Dara Tores? I don't remember. I should have flexed for the picture.
Next, I biked up Logan Canyon. It was a beautiful day! That canyon is just gorgeous.
I stopped at Second Dam and had a yummy treat so I wouldn't die of starvation. I burned a lot of calories in my Springtime Adventure Workout! So I had one of my favorites...
ANTS ON A LOG!! This is probably one of my favorite treats ever. Check out the peanut butter all over my plastic wrap? I dropped my piece of celery when I was coating it with peanut butter. It was so tasty. I'm almost out of peanut butter. I can probably only get one more PB&J out of it. Good thing I am going to the store today. Now here is a picture of me eating one of my favorite snacks ever.
So what is the conclusion? Will I do the Balanced Man Triathalon (which women can participate in)? I will try. I did a lot today. I took breaks inbetween modes of exercise. I will have to work on that. And get faster cuz I am really slow at all of those things. Wish me luck and I will keep you posted!

I am an Inside-Out Pig Lizard

You know in Galaxy Quest when they transport the pig lizard and it is inside-out and then it explodes? That is how I feel today. I googled images of that, but all I get is a bunch of pictures of movie posters and one of Hilary Clinton with a caption that she is a lizard. So here is a picture, not the one I want, but hopefully you get the idea. I feel like I'm twitching, steaming meat about to explode.

Why?

Good question. I don't know. I am stressed about something and everything but I can't think of all that I need to get done. I would like to levitate on a poofy cloud and think about nothing. Guys are so lucky to be able to think about nothing. I'm always thinking about something, usually about like five things. Probably when I think the least I'm inputting data or something boring like that. Then I'm thinking about the data, the wedding, and how I'm tired.

But Andrew is awesome. He told me to write all the things down that I need to do and then lay on a couch and relax. He rocks. I hope he doesn't think I'm a lazy head.

GOOD NEWS! I'm getting skinnier. My butt is definitely thinner from the side. That mostly means my abdominal fat is fleeing. But my hips are still huge and my front view is wider than I want it to be, but I have accepted it and actually think it is quite cute now. I'm on the LGN (look good naked) workout plan, actually the HL (healthy lifestyle) workout. I had to have something slightly scandalous in my blog today.

Speaking of fitness... A mini-triatholon is happening April 25. That is one of my goals for this year so maybe I will do it. Can I swim 750 m? Can I ride my bike 20k? Can I run 5k? The answer is yes, but I don't know if I can do it all in a row. Here it is: www.bmtriathalon.com and maybe I'll run/bike/swim it. Where do you find out about upcoming races? I need to know. My other goal is to run a 10k.

Discouragement: the website has ripped looking athletes screaming in pain at the struggle to complete the Balanced Man Triathalon. This image isn't the picture I was talking about....but it still makes me feel discouraged at my atheletic abilities. Well, you have to start somewhere, right?
